It is advisable to use lighter coloured cabinets like grey or white than black cabinets in a data center. Grey or white cabinets reflect more light than black cabinets and hence the data center will need less lighting. It not only reduces the lighting requirements, but also leads to less consumption of energy and generation of heat, thus reducing cooling requirements too.
