DCIM solutions require to be scalable. As implementation of infrastructure matures, data centre providers may find themselves surrounded by hundreds of sensors and devices. There is a significant amount of data riding on these devices. If the DCIM architecture is not able to support it, performance may be affected, which may also cancel out many primary benefits. Scalability and performance are key factors for implementation and future performance of a data centre. It includes having the right architecture, database and scheme, increased availability, optimized query engines, and distribution deployment.
