When relocating your data centre it’s important to remember that documenting the move is vital part of the plan. Aim to include as much detail as you can, so that problems can be tracked back and managed. Ensure that all equipment moves with all its papers and records so that issues arising out of relocation can be resolved simultaneously. Keeping a log will enforce discipline of recording all changes as they are made. These steps will offer great support when your data centre makes the move to a new location.
