What are the cornerstones of operations in an e-commerce enterprise? Human workforce? Business strategic management? All the answers are correct. However, for a fast-moving industry like e-commerce, without the presence of datacenter (DC) infrastructure, the whole system would have falled.

Located within a vast colocation datacenter, over 18,000 Square Feet, Legrand contributed our high-quality products to the backbone of the system.

Unlike traditional DC, cooling cost control is essential for newer DC systems. With the higher power density, the more heat the equipment in the rack will produce, with a total capacity of 14MW, the effectiveness of airflow management is considered top priority. In a deployment with 760 server racks, the chosen DC layout utilized the cold aisle containment layout, following the latest innovations in airflow management in order to maximise efficiency and lower the cost of cooling.

Along with the server racks for cooling layout, it is crucial that we ensure that the facilities are provided with trusted solutions. Over 1500 PDUs and Cablofil wire-mesh cable trays were supplied, with features that are exclusive to Legrand, like our patented ‘Cord locking system’, and quality finishes that prevent the trays from corrosion, our client’s DC is now built with reliability coupled with outstanding performance.
