India’s data center market is rapidly growing, with demand outpacing supply. Yotta Data Services, a fast-growing five-year-old Mumbai-based startup, has used this opportunity to grow its footprints. Recently they became the first Indian company to own an AI chip from NVIDIA and at present, their data center facility houses an amazing 7200 server racks powered by almost 60 megawatts of electricity.
In this video, Yotta’s co-founder Sunil Gupta, also known as the Data Centre Man of India, gives a tour of the inner workings of Asia's largest data center.

CENTER STAGE

Indian data center industry has been witnessing a growth phase for the last ten to fifteen years, triggered mainly by the high-speed digitization across enterprises, upgrading tech infrastructure, and emerging technologies such as 5G, AI, blockchain, and cloud computing. It's anticipated that this growth will increase data center capacity to more than 1,300 MW by the end of 2024, up from the 1,048 MW of the previous year. This growth momentum involves global titans and major industries from India entering the data center market. Here are 10 data centers to drive India's digital transformation in 2024.

Three-phase PDUs have greater power capacity but require planning to avoid wastage of electricity and possible outages. Power distributed over three phases results in inefficiency due to an imbalanced load. Raritan’s PX3 PDUs can monitor and alert you in case of phase imbalances so that you can maintain efficient power distribution.

Clean, uninterrupted power is the lifeblood of every data center. By measuring the quality of power, operators can keep an eye on their data center’s health and stay informed about emerging issues. Harmonics can impair power quality in data centers resulting in energy inefficiencies, equipment malfunctions, and IT equipment downtime. Raritan PX4 Rack PDU provides built-in power quality monitoring and measurement features that detect electrical disturbances to protect IT equipment and reduce unexpected downtime.
